When celebrities get arrested, their mugshots can often be entertaining for a variety of reasons. First we marvel over what they were doing to get arrested, and how ridiculously stupid it was, then we take in how badly disheveled they looked down at the station.
However, whether they know their lawyers are already working on getting them out of trouble, or are still angry and intoxicated, some celebrities give us the distinct impression that they have no regrets and would gladly do it again if given the opportunity. Here are 22 mugshots with no remorse.
Prince and one of his bandmates were arrested on March 29th, 1980 in Mississippi for pulling a prank on an airplane. Judging from the mugshot, Prince wasn’t overly concerned about the arrest or sorry for the prank.
John Mayer was arrested on May 26, 2001 for driving with a suspended license in Atlanta. When papparazzi learned of the arrest from long ago, Mayer issued a challenge to Harvey Levin, via Twitter:
“If Harvey Levin at TMZ can produce my mugshot, I will donate 25k to the charity of his choice,” he tweeted. “Who else is in? Harvey is Freedom of Information Act King.”
Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi Quaid were arrested for burglary in Texas last September 24. Although the charges were serious, the Quaids were anything but when it came time for their mugshots.
Soulja Boy, aka Deandre Cortez Way, ran from police officers and was arrested in Georgia in October, 2009. He was shooting a music video at an abandoned house in Henry County when police showed up and didn’t stick around to find out why they were there.
T-Pain, aka Faheem Najm, was arrested in Florida in 2007 after surrendering to police. The charges were for a non-moving traffic violation and driving with a suspended license.Â He was apparently caught driving around in his Lamborghini Gallardo during the time that his driverâ€™s license had been revoked for being a habitual traffic violator, so a warrent for his arrest was issued.
Okay, we know it’s a stretch calling this guy a celebrity, but he did get some air time after punching Snooki in the face during the filming of an episode of MTV’s reality series “Jersey Shore” last year. Brad Ferro was sentenced to probation and anger management counseling.
During October, 2008 PGA golfer John Daly passed out in a Hooters restaurant in Winston-Salem, NC after a binge of heavy drinking. He was extremely intoxicated and uncooperative as police took him into custody for a 24-hour detox lockup.
Kimora Lee Simmons
Kimora Lee Simmons was arrested for failing to comply with officers’ request to pull over. Maybe she’s smiling because the charge was so minor.
Ne-Yo was arrested for reckless driving without a driver’s license. He probably drove himself home from jail though.
Akon was arrested after he threw a crazed fan off the stage at one of his shows. Note to self: Do not jump on stage at an Akon show.
50 Cent has been arrested for everything from weapons possession to making an unsafe lane change. We suspect that each mugshot looks similar to this.
NFL star Deion Sanders was arrested for allegedly fighting two hecklers. Judging by his cheeseball grin, he didn’t take the arrest too seriously.
Charlie Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day last year and charged with felony domestic abuse. Although he looks like he’d surely smack his wife again, he’s calmed down now and word is his lawyers are negotiating a plea deal. Sheen may spend 30 days in jail over this.
In 2009, Katt Williams was arrested and accused of breaking into a home in Georgia and stealing jewelry and other items. Williams was in Georgia shooting a film and denies breaking into the home.
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin, aka Steve Williams, pleaded no contest in November 2002 to a misdemeanor charge of assaulting his wife during a domestic dispute.
Rap star Jay-Z, aka Shawn Carter, was arrested in New York City in December 1999 for allegedly stabbing a record executive at a Manhattan nightclub. He was originally charged with felony assault, but pleaded guilty in October 2001 to a reduced misdemeanor count and was sentenced to three years probation.
Plaxico Burress was a wide receiver for the NY Giants before he shot himself in the leg at a nightclub in NYC in 2009.
Shawntae Harris was charged with aggravated felony assault and sentenced to three years in prison, 7 years of probation and 200 hours of community service. Here’s one of her shots from prison, where she’s obviously not suffering.
An extremely drunk Andy Dick was arrested in July 2008 for urinating outside a bar and pulling a 17-year-old girl’s shirt down, eposing her breasts. Cops found marijuana and Xanax in Dick’s pants pockets during his arrest.
Woody Harrelson was arrested in Columbus, Ohio in 1982 for disturbing the peace. He didn’t really care at the time and certainly doesn’t now.
Lil Wayne, aka Dwayne Carter, was arrested in Arizona in January 2008 on drug charges. The 25-year-old rapper was nabbed in Yuma County on felony possession counts and booked into the local lockup, where this mugshot was snapped.
In 2007, Paris Hilton entertained us all with her in jail, out of jail, back in jail issues. The first mugshot was taken right after her DUI arrest and was unintentionally released.
