Wife Accidentally Shot By Husband During “Robbery Drill”

by admin on August 23, 2010

A 72-year-old woman was shot in the chest by her husband this weekend while the elderly pair practiced what to do in case they were ever robbed. Bet he felt smart!

Arnold and Patricia Morris have been married for 54 years, and he certainly wasn’t trying to kill her, but that’s almost what happened. He pulled a handgun out of his pocket and accidentally fired, hitting Patricia in the chest.

It might have been fine if she were a robber, that’s probably how they planned for it to go down if someone ever broke into their home. However, when he realized he had blown a hole in his wife’s chest, he immediately called 911 for help.

Patricia was rushed to the hospital, underwent surgery and is expected to recover. As for the marriage? We’ll have to wait and see if they celebrate 55 years together.
