Pastor Steven Lee Wintersteen, 62, was a member of a website for people seeking unusual sexual experiences. He described himself on the site as an “older daddy” seeking a “daddy’s girl.”
Wintersteen met a woman from Oklahoma City on the website and became interested in having sex with her 8-year-old daughter. He sent the woman pictures of himself dressed in only a Santa hat. He said he couldn’t wait for the little girl to see “Santa” in only a hat and boots and explicitly described the sex he wanted to have with the child. He made plans to travel to Oklahoma to fulfill his sick fantasy.
Luckily, there was no 8-year-old girl and the woman Wintersteen was communicating with was an FBI agent. He was arrested when he arrived in Oklahoma City. In his bags he had packed a Santa hat, a stuffed animal for the little girl, three types of erectile dysfunction pills, a camera and a laptop that contained child pornography.
He was convicted of traveling from Reno to Oklahoma City for the purposes of having sex with a child and for possession of child pornography and sentenced to 131 months in federal prison.
