William Peppers was hungry and wanted pizza, but unfortunately his hunger outweighed his common sense.

Peppers called Edwardo’s Pizza and placed a $51 order. He intended to pay for the food by credit card. When the first two card numbers he gave were declined, he tried a third, which was a stolen card that the owner had just reported fraudulent activity on.
Edwardo’s took Peppers’ order and the credit card number and then called the police. An officer put on an Edwardo’s jacket and an Edwardo’s sign on an unmarked police car and took the food to Peppers’ address. After Peppers’ signed the receipt he was arrested and charged with felony forgery.
